FTC5042, R 380 V8 5th mainshaft gear, can be used with FTC4977 to raise the 5th gear ratio from 0.77 to 0.732 on all TDi and TD5 R 380's

Please note the stock LR part is 1.80mm wire diameter, ours are 2.00mm.

These apply a little more pressure to the syncro ring during the shift reducing the likelihood of the gear 'grinding'.

This cylindrical roller bearing fits on the mainshaft rear support for all R380s.

These are NKE brand bearings.

Replaces RHP bearing number RJ2022

Quality info :

Genuine brand were RHP which were quite good, good life span average 60-100K miles depending on usage,

RHP stopped making these when the volume dropped when the R380 stopped being mass produced,

There are now 4 brands available, ours and 3 others, before we made ours with NKE we tried the other 3 brands, it would be rude to name them but they didn't last well at all, we had failures within 3-4 months at maybe 10K miles. We obviously couldn't use these.

We developed these with the Austrian brand NKE and have been very pleased with them, they surpass the original RHP brand considerably, we even sell these worldwide to other rebuilders that have had the same issues from the other 3 pattern brands.
