This oil feeder is an improved version over the original part and helps to get better oil feed to the bearings. A must for every R380 rebuild. On every R380 I rebuild I always use this type of oil feed ring and so far I never had any bearing failures.

I cooked my input bearing on a fresh rebuild, not sure if the oil pump, the ring or just ran it too low on oil, but the result is another rebuild. The ring I took out looked fine, but this style looks better, not possible to leak around and lose oil pressure. Interesting material, micarta?
