Description

Historically to make a pegged housing we have taken a standard rover differential and welded 2 steel plates externally and then drilled, tapped and spot faced two threads.

As we have recently manufactured brand new diff housings it was logical to include this additional external material to enable us to drill and tap 2 threads to peg the housing, this simplifies the pegging process whilst at the same time far improves the product by increasing the strength in that area and reducing the likelihood of any cracks in the weld forming.

These are the later design which use 2 dowels to securely locate each end cap.

Includes new journal end cap bolts and roll pins to secure the side adjuster nuts.

Please note this product is the Rover, long nose differential housing used in the Defender 90, Disco I, Disco II and Defender 110 front axles.

If you would like a pegged housing  to suit a P38 (Short nose diff housing), please email us for availability.

Please note the side adjuster nuts are not included, if you would like to purchase these please click here
