To convert a short stick Discovery R380 to a long stick Defender R380, we make an adapter piece that you can fit to the end of the existing selector rail.
You can then fit the Defender yolk to this part and then fit the Defender top housing. Includes adapter, yoke & screw.
You can use an LT77 top housing but you will have to remove the reverse light switch and the ‘T’ piece under the top face.

Very easy to fit. This can be done with the gearbox still in the vehicle.
remove the Disco top housing,
move selector rail forward,
remove grub screw that holds the yolk on
remove yolk,
fit extension with grub screw and threadlocl,
fit new defender type yolk with grubscrew and threadlock
fit defender top housing, check the 2 dowels,
if fitting a LT77 top housing :
plug reverse light switch hole,
remove ‘T’ piece underneath held with 2 x M6 screws
remove and blank off the reverse plunger on RHD
