Description
The TD5 and 2.4 and 2.2 TDCi Defenders have a green 3 wire transducer fitted behind the handbrake backplate to the speedo drive gear.
This generates a pulse which is sent to the dash clocks to show the vehicle speed.
if you fit different size tyres or different ratio ring and pinions in the diffs then this speed displayed may well be inaccurate.
This small device is very easy to install and program and allows you to adjust the output pulse both up and down which means the dash clocks see the correct pulse and thus show the correct speed.
Very easy to fit, remove the connector fitted to the speedo transducer and fit to the new loom, fit the other end of the new loom to the transducer and the remaining plug on the new loom to the ECU.
Once installed as per the notes below you will need to program the unit, just stick a sat nav on the windscreen to get a true vehicle speed then follow the notes in the booklet that comes with it.

Speedohealer for Cruise Control
Very easy to install!
I fitted the speedohealer so I can use the factory
cruise control with my overdrive (roamerdrive).
To do this the unit must be fitted between the speedo and the ECU so it does not effect the speedo reading.
Cheers,
Paul.

This is a fantastic solution for fixing tire size related speedometer issues in a later Defender! Very easy to use thanks to their app, just take it for a drive and measure your indicated speed against some accurate source such as GPS, input both numbers and the app will tell you exactly what buttons to press.
I only wish the manufacturer had made the jumper a bit longer as you have to put the piggyback connectors very close to the speedo connection on the rear output housing of the LT230, which puts the wires in harms way – they are not protected. Maybe some day I will extend this myself but otherwise it is a very simple plug and play just by removing the centre seat box lid. I ran the wires in to my ECU compartment and it now Velcros in there very nicely next to my fuses etc.
