A Detroit (Eaton) locker for the Salisbury axle.
The Detroit Locker maximises traction by delivering 100% of the torque to both drive wheels. It is engineered to keep both wheels in a constant drive mode, and has the ability to automatically allow wheel speed differentiation when required. The Detroit locker is a bolt on application.

I have had several types of auto locking, ATB and selectable locking diffs over the years. Where ever I use a salisbury (Dana 60) axle on the rear, I fit a detroit locker (No Spin) diff centre. The diff is noticable when suspension bushes are worn but when the axle is securely located no real adverse effects can be felt. Off road this diff transforms the capability of the vehicle it is fitted to. I have yet to “fool” the diff into letting go and is a completely reliable piece of kit. Installation requires some mechanical knowledge but thereafter it is a fit and forget item.
